I heard this guy’s music for the first time from a battered tape recorder in my favourite greek restaurant. Upon asking who he was, the waiter only shrugged his shoulders, whispered “Lemonopoulos” looked up to the sky,  and went away. He didn’t know anything about this legendary bouzouki player and there isn’t much news about him on the net either. He was greek of course, but lived in the United States, pursuing his career only on and off. His biggest aim for fame was when he wrote the music for a Broadway show staring Melina Mercouri, but that one didn’t exactly leave a dent in musical history.
