Rocha (guitar) and Cardosa (woodwinds) are two talented musicians paying great homage to Brazilian traditions while performing in a contemporary jazz based style. I feel that the flute/guitar tracks are the strongest of the bunch. These gentlemen show both chops and musicality at every turn. It is a shame musicians such as these don’t get more notice in the jazz community (a community known for the existence of 5 great unknown musicians for every well known performer!).
